Whole grilled snapper with charred citrus

Las Olas waterfront, Fort Lauderdale

Where the Gulfmeets la cocina.

Day-boat snapper, ceviche cured to order, wood-fire and rum. Dinner as the sun drops behind the Intracoastal.

Our story

A backyard fish fry that grew into ninety seats on the water.

Tidelight started with Chef Marisol Vega frying day-boat snapper for neighbors in Dania Beach. The sauces came from her grandmother's kitchen in Cartagena: mojo, ají amarillo, plantain, lime. The fish still comes off the same boats every morning.

Everything is made here, from the tortillas to the guava hot sauce. Come for sunset, stay for the tres leches.
